Is it time for a new spatula to make your baking tasks easier?
We use only Ateco spatulas- that is why it is the only brand that we sell. I believe that now more than ever, it is important to buy the right tools the first time- and only buy them once!
A little about the brand: Ateco Ultra Spatulas feature stainless steel blades with plastic handles that are dishwasher safe, shock resistant and sanitary.
Ateco also makes wooden handles spatulas for those people who would prefer to not
use plastic for a growing number of reasons.
These spatula blades are taper ground for even flexibility. Since 1905, Ateco has manufactured tools to help professionals as well as enthusiasts create extraordinary looking cakes, cookies and pastries.
Ateco products begin with the finest materials, from metals to fabrics to plastic films and undergo testing for durability, reliability and quality.
They are made to last under the punishing conditions of restaurant and high-output commercial kitchens. That is why these are the spatulas you see used by TV chefs
while they do their cooking demonstrations!
Choosing a spatula: These spatulas come in various lengths and widths. I always use a large straight bladed spatula but my instructor uses a small offset blade. Many of
our students prefer to learn using a small offset spatula because these allow you to "Get out of the way of the icing" . The smaller size also allow you to have more control- very important when you are learning!
Straight Bladed Spatulas: These have a blade that is flat like a butter knife
Offset Bladed Spatulas: The blade is bent at an angle
